Dark Forests

UNREAL ENGINE 5

Mini Project created using kit-bashed parts.

The focus of this project was to practice lighting night time scenes and animating in sequencer. I decided to simulate moonlight coming through the trees using the volumetric fog and added additional rect lights to act as fill lights for certain areas.

Interrogation room

UNREAL ENGINE 5, MAYA, SUBSTANCE PAINTER & SAMPLER

This project was created to showcase a number of props I textured in substance painter. I combined these with quixel assets.

I learned a lot during this project, including how to create emissive and transparent textures. It is such a fun program to use and I'm excited to use it more.

I used substance sampler to create the floor material. I can see how useful this program is but feel I could achieve better results creating my own textures in substance designer.

The Captain's Desk

UNREAL ENGINE 5, MAYA & SUBSTANCE PAINTER

A Pirates of the Caribbean inspired project created for a challenge. Click here to see how I created this scene!

Wasteland

UNREAL ENGINE 4

In this project I wanted to get to grips with the landscape tools within Unreal Engine.

I decided to make a quick desert terrain using quixel assets. I used a combination of techniques such as combined textures and surface scattering.

The Loft

UNREAL ENGINE 4

A quick project created during Final Pixel's virtual production course.

We were given a range of assets to choose from in order to make a scene. I decided to create a scene depicting a study. My main focus was creating lighting that made the room feel cosy. I achieved this through a mixture of warm interior lighting and natural sunlight.
